HVAC Equipment Estimator (4 Years + HVAC Equipment Experience)

The assignment of this position is to contribute to the success of the company by successfully assisting Account Executives to evaluate, prepare and provide estimates of HVAC equipment and systems.

HVAC Equipment Estimator will be responsible for performing or assisting in the following:

• Review construction plans and specifications and generate material quotations
• Communicate with account executives, factory representatives and customer personnel to facilitate a timely and correct quotation.
• Work together with account executives to produce a strategic quotation
• Distribute quotations to contractors and end users

The best candidate for this position will need to meet the following:
• 2-4 Years of experience required.
• Effective organizational & time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong technical aptitude

• Ability to focus and concentrate in a deadline driven environment.

Job Title: Service Technician
Reports To: Service General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Summary: Under the supervision of the Service Team Lead, the Service Technician serves customers by installing and servicing systems and products. This position fosters positive customer interactions by identifying system issues and completing repairs to the satisfaction of the customer and the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability, and physical demands required.

• Serves existing accounts by analyzing service orders, planning daily travel schedules, investigating complaints, conducting tests and resolving problems.
• Establishes service by studying system requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation and performing acceptance tests.
• Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods and techniques and recommending system improvements.
• Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
• Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Completes required paper work accurately and timely for Customer and Company.
• Follows all safety restrictions required by Company, Customer, and OSHA.
• Ability to understand wiring diagrams.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

• Certificate, 2 or 4-year degree from an accredited trade school, college, or university a plus
• NATE certification and EPA certification a plus.
• 2+ years of HVAC Service.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales orders and other documents in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc. This role requires an intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 25 percent of the time while operating their computer and performing office work. The individual needs to frequently move about inside tight and cramped spaces. They may operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and adjust as necessary.

This position works in various settings, with much outdoor exposure during the day. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate, but can escalate to high while on work site.

Parts Sales Consultant (2 Years + HVAC Parts Experience)

The assignment of this position is to contribute to the success of the company by successfully selling parts to internal and external clients, over the counter, in-person, or on the phone to assist in achieving individual and departmental sales objectives.

Parts Sales Consultant will be responsible for the daily operations of the Parts Department by successfully performing or assisting in managing the following:

    • Sales and Customer Service
    • Promoting the selling of HVAC parts to customers
    • Maintain regular contact with major customers to build loyalty and ensure long-term revenue.
    • Assist in maintaining the operation of the retail sales counter.
    • Assists the Parts Manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program
    • Assist in setting prices and discount levels and plan promotions to increase sales.
    • Effectively and efficiently processes Client payments, or obtains credit authorization, while also ensuring that all charge sales receipts are signed by the Client.
    • Ensures that all Clients receive their copy of the invoice.
    • Promptly notifies Clients when all parts have arrived along with an estimated time of delivery.
    • Effectively and efficiently tracks and follows up on back-order parts.
    • Inventory Management and Control
    • Assist in managing inventory based on demand and cost targets.
    • Assist in maintaining stock at a level that enables servicing and repair departments to complete their work without delay.
    • Avoid the costs of carrying excessive inventory.
    • Develop the knowledge of stock-control so that you can effectively record and analyze the movement of parts.
    • Maintain accurate records of parts replaced under warranty and details of faulty parts.
    • Sourcing Quality Parts
    • Buying and selling quality parts at the right price is an important aspect of the job.
    • Identify and evaluate suppliers who can offer replacement parts that match the quality of the originals.
    • Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best prices for parts.

The best candidate for this position will meet the following requirements:

  • 2-4 Years of HVAC Parts Sales experience required.
  • Experience with FACTS Accounting Software preferred.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to multi-task and prioritize day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of HVAC Industry customer service experience.
